　　Vietnam's tourism ministry on Tuesday proposed a full reopening of the country to foreign visitors and a lifting of nearly all travel restrictions from March 15, three months earlier than planned.

　　越南旅游部周二提议，从3月15日起，对外国游客全面重新开放，并取消几乎所有旅行限制，这比原计划提前了三个月。

　　Theproposal, which will be submitted to the Prime Minister for approval, follows similar reopening steps taken by other Southeast Asian countries like Thailand and the Philippines, where the Omicron Covid-19 variant has caused a recent spike in new infections, but fewer hospitalizations and deaths than previous variants.

　　该提案将提交给总理审批，此前泰国和菲律宾等其他国家也采取了类似的重新开放措施，这些国家的奥米克隆变种导致最近的新感染病例激增，但住院和死亡人数少于以前的变种。

　　The proposal includes maintaining a one-dayquarantinerequirement for visitors plus requiring negative Covid-19 tests before departure and on arrival.

　　Vietnam announced a record 31,814 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, adding to the more than 2.54 millioninfectionsso far. It has recorded about 39,000 deaths overall.
