旅游英语@苏州园林：上有天堂下有苏杭！

　　As an enthusiast of both English and traveller, I would like to introduce our beautiful country to the whole world.

　　From today (Nov 26,2022) the bilinggual languages (English and Chinese) will be used to introduce the most distinguished cities in China.

　　Suzhou city

　　Suzhou is located beside Taihu, and it is a fertile and scenic land ， moderate with four distinct seasons.

　　苏州位于长江下游的太湖之滨，土地肥沃，风光秀丽，四季分明。

　　Suzhou is a beautiful city of gardens threaded by rivers and cannals, it is called the "Venice of the Orient".

　　苏州还是一个美丽的园林城市，河网密布，因此又有“东方威尼斯”之称。

　　Established in 514 BC, Suzhou had become the most abundant "land of grain and meat" of ancient China since Song Daynasty, and thus popularized the sayings that "Up above tehre is Paradise, down here is Hangzhou and Suzhou" and that "Bumper harvest in Suzhou and Huzhou are enough for the whole nation".

　　始建于公元前514年，宋代时这里就成为全国富裕的鱼米之乡,就有了“上有天堂下有苏杭”和“苏湖熟，天下足”的说法！
