　　“I had no idea Heartstopper would be so big. I didn't ever think I'd actually be in the show, because theauditionprocess was so long. The whole thing began with an open call, rather than the producers reaching out to agents, which means anyone could have played Charlie Spring."

　　乔·洛克2003年9月24日出生于英国马恩岛道格拉斯，18岁的他是电视界的新人。

　　Locke lives in the Isle of Man, which is a small island off the coast of England. The island is not considered to be part of the U.K. because it is an internallyself-governingdependency of the British Crown.

　　Talking to 1883 Magazine, Joe explained: “I’ve always been interested in acting and drama while I was growing up. I always did localamateurtheatre and, at one point, I made my mum sign me up for five different acting lessons at once.

　　He shared: “When I first heard about the audition, I read the comics and saw so much of myself in Charlie and so much of what my school experience was like.

　　“I really wanted to be part of the project because I felt there aren’t many shows out there that depict the positives of growing up as a queer person – I just thought it was so great there’s a story in which we can show younger queer kids they deserve happiness.”

　　He told the Attitude: “I think it’s really important to push the idea that, no matter who you are or what you identify as or your sexuality, you’re allowed happiness.”
